Tesla has released a new wireless charging platform called the Wireless Charging Platform. That allows users to charge multiple devices at the same time. The device, which is encased in an aluminum casing inspired by the Cybertruck, uses technology developed by start-up company Aira called FreePower.
This technology enables fast charging of up to 15W for multiple devices, and users can simply place their devices on the surface of the charging platform to begin charging.
According to the company, the device is able to charge devices placed anywhere on its surface, regardless of their specific placement.
However, the convenience of the Wireless Charging Platform comes at a cost, as it is priced at $300. Aira, the company behind the technology, was founded in 2017 and has raised $16 million in funding. Primarily from private investors, to expand into the enterprise, automotive, and hospitality markets.
